Rainforest Park is a large metropolitan park located downtown Seattle and it is designed to be visited to when it's raining. The park is covered with 71 rain-harvesting trees that are punctured strategically to allow the controlled passage of rainwater to the park below, creating spaces for public use within a 'forest of rain'. The project (formerly Rainbox), was initially conceived as a Master's thesis and in early 2012 it was further developed and submitted as a competition entry. It is constantly under evaluation.
