Juan Pablo Leon brings to Metrica an impeccable track record of managing and delivering technically complex projects worldwide. His work spans 4 continents and he has relocated to work on site and personally oversee construction of projects in Liberia, Morocco and Abu Dhabi.

Before joining Metrica, Juan worked for The Royal Group in Abu Dhabi as the Senior Project Manager for 4 major, high-profile projects in Abu Dhabi. He was in charge of managing the development, design coordination and tendering procesess for theEarly Childhood Development Center in Al Reem Island (20M USD -  design by Cebra architects of Denmark), and The Constellation project in Abu Dhabi Corniche (75M USD - Confidential). He recently led a team of more than 12 consultants for the Al Fayah Park Project (150M USD - Heatherwick Studio) and the development of the project to renovate the Armed Forces Officers Club (125M USD).  

Juan worked for Rafael Vinoly Architects, also in Abu Dhabi, prior to joining The Royal Group.  He worked on the construction site, and delivered the Faculty Apartment Buildings at New York University Abu Dhabi - two 12-story blocks with 258 apartments that together add up to more than 87,000 SM. A testament to his versatility, during this time he also managed the team building the Experimental Research Center for New York University in Abu Dhabi. More than 15,000 SM of state-of-the-art research laboratories, multiple core support shops and facilities make it the best equipped research center in the region. 

Previously, Juan also worked for more than 9 years for CCE (Contracting Consulting Engineering) where he played multiple roles before becoming the Regional Operations Manager. In that position he was responsible of delivering multiple projects in more than a dozen countries.  During the first Years in CCE he specialized in working in aviation projects. Juan was involved in the design and construction of multiple design-build/fast track aviation projects for CCE and participated in multiple proposals and Master Plan studies for Military aviation projects for the US Department of State, Sikorsky, and The US Department of Deference.  Projectsrange from Temporary Maintenance Hangars for C-130 Aircraft, to full maintenance facilities forUH-1 (bBackHhawk) Helicopters in Bogota, Saravena, Tulua, Santa Marta, Tolemaida, and Melgar in Colombia.

During that time, Juan was responsible for tracking and managing the progress and budget of all regional projects and lead the estimating team worldwide Juan has first-hand experience in understanding the requirements of a tight schedule, working with demanding clients, adhering to the most strict of specifications and coordinating construction activities in remote locations where resources are not easily available. He was involved in the development of a wide range of highly complex projects from the early planning stages until final handover. Some of the built projects include Airfields, Laboratories, Helicopter Maintenance Facilities, Flight Simulators, and multiple US Diplomatic Facilities. 

His previous clients include the US Department of State, the US Army Corps of Engineers, the Centers for Disease Control, Lockheed Martin, New York University Abu Dhabi and Sheikha Salama Foundation.
